Emsthe Aralasta (Amulni: שფჟ჻ჷჺვყ; Atraelish: Kingdom of Aralaster), and known colloquially as the Kingdom of The Gods, is the late medieval and modern successor the the original Crown of Mordras and the political manifestation of the power of the Table of Nine of Amulna over the various nations adherent to Orthodox Astralism.

A political body as much as it is a religious body, the Emsthe Aralasta is a a continent-spanning, multi-ethnic complex of territories. The Emsthe Aralasta has throughout much of its existence been the premier political power dominating the Ducassies under its yoke, with all its constituent nations having at some point in their history sworn absolute fealty to the nine Ducassors. Though once a binding relationship similar to vassalage before the enlightenment, its political influence has gradually shrunk to its current near-irrelevant form with the rise of secularism and opposition to Astralist conservatism during the enlightenment, specifically with the rise of republicanism in the wake of the First Etruarac Revolution of 1670-1683.

Following the industrial revolution, the Emsthe Aralasta's political power has all but disappeared, and it has unto the present clung onto some form of dominance across the Orthodox nations through its control of the church and influence over quasi-religious institutions such as charity organisations, boy scouts/girl guides programs, and primary and secondary education systems - especially within Orthodox private schools -, re-positioning itself as a international humanitarian force, providing authoritative moral guidance through its religious teachings and helping the disadvantaged through charity.

Political realm[edit | edit source]

The terms used for the various aspects of the political realm of the Emsthe Aralasta are as so:

  • Emsthe Aralasta (Amulni: שფჟ჻ჷჺვყ lit. "Empire of Aralaster") the realm of the Orthodox Church of Astralism headed by the nine Grand Ducassors in Lyniela.
    • Kingdom of the Gods: Colloquial title of the Emsthe Aralasta used occasionally in western texts.
    • Table of Nine: The legislative body of the Emsthe Aralasta, comprised of nine Grand Ducassors.
    • Amulna: capital nation of the Emsthe Aralasta, ruled directly by the Table of Nine.
    • Grand Ducassy of Gnincae: the nucleus state of Amulna and capital state of the Emsthe Aralasta. Created by Ducassor Jeneai III in 919 CE.
    • Church Territories: The term used to refer to Amulna in comparison to the more independent nations of the Emsthe Aralasta, which are ruled by their own respective Ducassors.
  • Crown of Mordras: The office held by the nine Grand Ducassors, representing their right to rule the Emsthe Aralasta. Historically, the term "Crown of Mordras" originally referred to the colonial Amulndian Nation founded after an exodus into the Great Wildlands began following the collapse of the Amulndian Empire. As the kingdom splintered into various Ducassies, the term shifted to reflect the office held by the rulers of the territories, with the collective territories later adopting the name "Emsthe Aralasta" in response to the foundation of the Emsthe Sinana.
