Janisser IX Selocon Ib Asicawani (Amulni: ცსვვჷ჻९჻ვჺვს჻გ჻öვოჵს; pronunciation [ɟa.nɪ.sːɛɹ sɛ.lɔ.sɔ.n]; Atraelish pronunciation ?/ˈdʒæ.nɪ.sər ˈsɛ.lɵ.sɒn/) was the reigning Ducassor of Sine Weythern during the First and Second World Wars. Groomed from early childhood by his family to become the head of the long-reigning Selocon dynasty of Sine Weythern, Janisser IX was trained thoroughly in the skills required to rule, and had throughout his life known little else but entitlement and great political and financial power. Vented into high-ranking positions by the formidable hand of the Selecon family, Janisser IX climbed the ranks of the Astralist priestly hierarchy, enlisting as an Acollager at age 19, and sitting at the Banquet of Upper Clergy at the age of 22, making political decisions with contemporaries often decades older than himself. At age fifty, Janisser was elected as Vice Mocassor, a position he maintained for four years before the death of his father, the then reigning Ducassor. Within the month, Janisser IX was - by absolute majority of votes - voted as the ninth Ducassor of Sine Weythern, where he ruled until his death.

A greatly popular figure throughout Sine Weythern during his reign, the sanctified image of Janisser IX, much like his dynasty as a whole, had generally been spared of tarnish in the wake of multiple national troubles, many of which had seen the loss of elections for several Prime Ministers of the Janisserisy's Banquet of Representatives. The cult of personality that his family has constructed and maintained for hundreds of years shielded him to the point where he, despite being the utmost keystone of conservatism, bastion of reaction and ultimate enemy of the working class and peasantry, was praised as an unassuming and noble man of the cloth, and was seen as the very embodiment of Sine Weythern and its successes.

With the nation-wide criminalisation of slavery in 1888 at the hand of his father and the subsequent succession of the nation of Quenylga, Janisser IX continued his father's campaign to crush the Quenylgal rebellion in the west in the frequently touted name of ending the archaic and morally wrong enslavement of man, something by the beginning of the 20th centry has been increasingly seen as against the tenants of Astralism. Because of his liberal and humanitarian rhetoric, many of Janisser's sceptics (specifically the liberal bourgeoise) began to see him in a less negative light; further yet, even some on the left - most notably the substantial number of Sineal liberation theologists - were often thrown into a state of confusion regarding their opposition to Janisser IX and his behaviour as leader of the nation and of the Janisserist Church of Astralism.
