The Kingdom of Mestata (Wunal: ሜሥተተዎ፡ዠቺከ tr. Mestatawo Žačiki) was a city state on the continent of Neira that existed until the creation of the Sublime Zanikoji of Variyako. From its creation it asserted itself as one of the more powerful Variyakoi city states on Neira, controlling other port towns and cities all of whom paid tithes to the King of Mestata, which soon became a large cosmopolitan city that attracted many early intellectuals. Around 114BCE a group of philosophers compiled the Iszotec and formed the first Ravadi, before preaching their teachings around Mestata and Neira. Around 100 BCE the King of Mestata Žaraǰodaši I formally declared Soziti to be the state religion, and was subsequently named the first Zanikoj of the faith. The Kingdom was dissolved around the same time with the Sublime Zanikoji of Variyako being formed in its place.
