The Nicimian Revolution, also known as the Nicimian Revolt to non-supporters of the People's Revolutionary Front, was a revolutionary wave of protests, riots, strikes, and civil wars, and later a coup d'état, that occurred across the Kingdom of Virassia in 1898. The revolution paved the way to winning control of the eastern provinces of Virassia for the PRF and their supporters, with the region declaring self-rule as the Independent Republic of Nicimia, as well as laying the conditions for a Virassian Military coup d'état that deposed the Virassian Royal Family from exclusive sovereignty over the Kingdom of Virassia, effectively establishing the nation as a de facto military junta with General Wassen Schamilte became the undisputed dictator of Virassia.
