There currently exists no formal diplomatic relations between the Odokcracian Democratic Republic and the Sublime Zanikoji of Variyako. Odokcraca previously existed as the Pojera of Kdyzemla, an administrative division of Variyako. Suppression of traditional Odokcracian culture saw a nationalist organisation known as the Najidu with heavy backing from Atraeth lead an uprising known as the Odokcracian Revolt which saw the Najidu proclaim a democratic republic in place of the Pojera, setting off the Variyakoi Civil War which saw similar movements launched in Justavka, Zeleovki and Umlokovy. Variyako was forced to sign the Treaty of Laćasa where they recognised the independence of Pojera in 1868. However, following the end of the Variyakoi Civil War eight years later Variyako has claimed that the earlier Treaty of Otžanje gives them the right to sovereignty over Odokcracian lands. As such tensions remain high between the two nations, with only the military presence of Atraeth in Odokcraca preventing all out war.
