The Quenylgal Republic, colloquially Quenylga, is a confederation of secessionist Sineal states that have fought for their right to independence since 1888. To the present date, seven of the original ten states in the Western region of Sine Weythern have remained in the confederation in armed defiance of Sineal rule. Forming perhaps the most economically and technologically backward regions of Post-Amulnan Urcinne, the declared illegality of slavery by decree of Ducassor Janisser VIII Selocon Eiñrithwen in 1888 threw the western states into dire straits, all of whom still possessed regional economies predominately dependent on agriculture, with a heavily non-mechanised plantation system relying primely on Urcinnan slaves. Fearing the cessation of profits, the governors of the ten states - fervently backed by plantation owners and the majority of white workers that had enjoyed their material benefits over the absolutely downtrodden class of Urcinnan slaves - successively declared their succession from the federate government of Sine Weythern.
