Saeyri (pronounced ?/ˈseɪ.ri/; say-ree, Seonmi: ㄔㄜㄛㄌㄇㄚㄋㄅㄠㄕㄜㄙㄨㄛㄊㄒㄚㄐㄚㄅㄛㄒㄟㄨㄎㄚ tr. Seonymanbaushewuottsajabotseiuka trans. "State of the Seony", often abbreviated to Seonymanottsaja, Seonmi pronunciation: /seɔ.nʲ.maŋ.ɔt.tsʰa.ʑa/) is a regional cymluni superpower and a contesting world power that dominates sub equatorial regions of the continent.
The country is considered by historians to be the oldest sovereign state with ruins dating back to 4200 BCE found within the Xhangsong Valley. Saeyri also lays claim to being home to the cradle of humanity, with the earliest fossil records of homininds found on the coast of the sacred Yangon Lake that was annexed by the modern Saeyri regime in 1849 CE. Saeyri was ruled by numerous imperial dynasties that exerted various degrees of power until 1607 when the Seonmi Empire collapsed, being replaced by a rump state that stagnated for two centuries. In 1815 Atraeth invaded Saeyri starting the Atrae-Seonmi War, which resulted in a Seonmi military victory, leading to a period of modernisation. In 1894, following the Great Crash, the Xhangsong Rebellion saw the overthrow of the last king of Saeyri, Kutsumo Kai, leading to the inauguration of the current regime under the leadership of Juotsou Hou-gemgun.
Saeyri is one of the most powerful countries on the planet, having industrialised and modernised after the failed Atraelish invasion. Saeyri remains a centre for economic growth, technological innovation, military might, and imperial expansion.
