Odokcracian history[edit | edit source]

Note - Odokcraca is the most industrialised region of the former Vairyakoi empire.

  • 1930 - A liberal-conservative coalition passes the Representation Act that gives all men the vote.
  • 1933 - Strikes in Otžanje after the creation of the Consolidated Trade Union Confederation (CTUC). The socialist movement within the trade unions is divided between the anarchists and the Vilakismusi, who control the Dock Workers' National Union (DWNU) which is only slightly larger than the CTUC.
  • 1934 - Government repression of strikes causing massive civil unrest. The People's Labour Party (PLP) starts the Land Plan which sees agricultural cooperatives created in the countryside.
  • 1935 - The CTUC and the DWNU combine to form the General Congress of Trade Unions (GCTU)
  • 1938 - The 1938 election sees the PLP get a majority in the HoC - they are refused to form government after the HoL dismisses them. The GCTU hold a general strike.
  • 1938 - A mass popular uprising sees the PLP hold onto power and declare a democratic republic.
  • 1940 -

Economy of Songyang[edit | edit source]

  • Mining (coal, steel, precious metals)
  • Manufacturing (rail, munitions, firearms)
  • Large scale, largely pre-industrial agriculture in the northern provinces
  • Fledgling oil industry in the desert regions
  • Corn, wheat and other western crops
  • Livestock

Royal families[edit | edit source]

Variyako: Žaraǰodaši Dynasty[edit | edit source]

93 rulers overall.

Early rulers (108BCE - 686CE)[edit | edit source]

During the first 700 years of Žaraǰodaši rule the dynasty was constantly at war with its neighbours and nobles within its borders, whilst the eminence of Soziti had not yet been cemented. As people within Neira converted to Soziti, many lords did not bow to Žaraǰodaši sovereignty limiting their influence.

  • Žaraǰodaši I (108 - 77BCE)

Founder of the Žaraǰodaši dynasty, first Zanikoj.

  • Žaraǰodaši II (77 - 43BCE)

Dramatically expanded the size of the kingdom and further enforced Soziti doctrine.

  • Žaraǰodaši III (43 - 28BCE)

Further implemented Soziti law.

  • Žaraǰodaši IV (28 - 05BCE)

Expansion ended after a rebellion amongst his subjects.

  • Žaraǰodaši V (05BCE - 14CE)

Ended the rebellion by his nobles.

  • Radoslav I (14 - 42CE)

Implemented tariffs and closed off Variyakoi ports on the coast near Mestata, beginning an era of stagnation.

  • Radoslav II (42 - 57CE)

Reignited tensions with the nobles leading to another rebellion. Killed in battle against such nobles.

  • Dragaš I (81 - 106CE)

  • Žabaljin VII (563 - 587CE)
  • Radoslav IX (587 - 614CE)
  • Radoslav X (614 - 618CE)

Crowned at six, before dying of smallpox four years afterwards.

  • Uros II (618 - 657CE)

The younger brother of his predecessor, he was crowned at the older age of eight. His rule was largely dominated by state bureaucrats, being half blind and mentally disabled.

Era of expansion (657 - 1310CE)[edit | edit source]

With the coronation of Dragaš V the internal problems in Variyako were dealt with brutally whilst the state expanded. The official adoption of Kruiči Mizeykeho meant that the Zanikoj's power overruled that of the local nobility, with the Žaraǰodaši starting to become the pre-eminent rulers of Neria.

  • Dragaš V (657 - 686CE)

After the death of the childless Uros II his cousin Dragaš lessened the role of the nobility who had ruled Variyako in his stead, as well as expanding Variyakoi territory.

  • Dragaš VI (686 - 712CE)

Officially adopted Kruiči Mizeykeho.

  • Dragaš IX (1111 - 1132CE)
  • Radoslav XII (1132 - 1159CE)
  • Radoslav XIII (1159 - 1182CE)

Last Zanikoj named Radoslav after repeatedly facing losses from failed invasions into Zelekovi, leading the disastrous Siege of Chanata, suffering a mental breakdown and murdering the majority of his concubines, and appointing his remaining concubines to high offices of power. Eventually he was declared a heretic by the Ravadi and executed with his youngest son being crowned in his place. His rule is unrecorded in Variyakoi sources.

  • Obrenovic IV (1182 - 1204CE)

A deeply pious man and brother of Radoslav XIII, he was appointed by the Ravadi following the latter's execution. He was largely ineffectual, leading a trend amongst Zanikoj's of delegation to power to the Ravadi that ended in 1380.
