The Solar System is the planetary system that contains the planet Earth as well as the seven other planets that orbit the star Sol. Excluding Earth itself, the significant heavenly bodies of the Solar System are practically identical to those of the real world save the names they are given.
Planets[edit | edit source]
The planets, in order of smallest to largest orbital distance, are:
- Osthar
- Iether
- Earth
- Artiser
- Occordas
- Aupitar
- Rithenas
- Saenus
Discovery[edit | edit source]
The inner planets of Osthar and Iether and the outer planets of Artiser, Occordas and Aupitar have been known since prehistory, with their earliest discovery attested to ancient Yashurheili astronomers around the fourth century BCE, and later by Seonmi astronomers in the third century BCE. Most of Occordas and Aupitar's moons were discovered in the 17th century. Rithenas was discovered by the 18th century along with more moons of various gas giants, and Saenus in the early 19th century.
