Šamolai (Ye Šamola baǩije) is a creole of the Southern Wunal dialect and Xhequan Atraelish spoken in Sepercy, Xhequa, with the largest Šamolai-speaking population living on Massey island off the northeast Sepercian coast. Born from the Variyakoi 75-year occupation of Sepercy in the wake of the Variyakoi-Xhequan War, the language has since faced brutal prosecution by the Xhequan state, to the point where a substantial minority population of native speakers has withered down to roughly four hundred by the close of the nineteenth century, even less of which are fluent speakers.
